Beer Festival 2012

6th Burford School Association Beer Festival

Our very popular biennial event is being held on Saturday 30th June, from midday until 9pm at Warwick Hall, Church Lane, Burford OX18 4RY (right next to the main entrance to Burford's historic church).

Free admission. A selection of real ales, bar, pig roast and BBQ available. Fantastic live music performing throughout the duration of the Festival.

A great day out for the family! This is one of Burford School's major fundraising events and all profits go towards items that are of help for the students, either by way of equipment, other facilities not usually available, computers and anything that would not normally be funded by the State. Your support of this event makes a huge difference!

Long Term Strategy Group - Parental Survey

Since September the Governors have been gathering views from all stakeholders on the future direction of the school.

Thank you to all Parents who took time to fill in the questionnaires at the recent Parents' evenings. To date we have had a return of 65 replies from theYear 13, 12, 9 & 10 Parents'.

We shall continue to have questionnaires available at the Year 11, 8 & 7 Parents' evenings and would ask for you to complete and return them on the evening. Alternatively, if you have missed your chance to complete a questionnaire, please click on the link below and complete the electronic version.

All the answers are being collated and the valuable and detailed replies we have received will be very useful when the Governing Body meets to discuss the 5-year 'Vision for Burford School'

We will soon be sending questionnaires to Burford town residents and to groups/organisations which use the school facilities asking for their view on Burford School in the community.

Governors Parents Evening

On Tuesday 28th February, the Governors held an open parents evening to which all parents were invited.

If you were able to attend you would have seen some excellent presentations from the Head of Departments of Maths, English and Science about the topics they teach, and how parents can support their child's learning.

For those parents who were unable to attend, please find links to some useful information from the Heads of Department about where you can support your children.
